So I dove into this book & love it!!!So, Chapter 1 is all about a student-led Classroom from the eyes of an elementary school teacher. What it looks like, what it feels like & what it sounds like! Students are working collaboratively, engaging in activities & most of all feel safe to do so. They have ownership of the classroom & enjoy being at school!
Creating a student-led classroom doesn’t happen over night, it’s a commitment you work towards a little each day. Student-led classrooms are only effective if students feel safe, appreciated, and connected to their teacher. This is an atmosphere you create in your classroom & across campus to build relationships that lead to successful scholars. Fearless from the teacher & the students is what will result in a successful school year. Risk taking is what leads to success!
