Summer Break is almost here!!!

My Second Grade students have worked so hard this year in our small reading groups. We have really focused in on our comprehension skills. Practicing with complex texts & skills to improve ourselves. We have been using a variety of resources & activities to sharpen our skills in finding text evidence. It is so important for students to continue the daily routine & practicing the skills they’ve learned during the summer. Whether it is Reading, Math or any other subject or skill I know that I want my parents to have a guide or plan in their hand to continue to work with their children at home. I personally would LOVE if my parents would sit for 30 minutes a day with their child to read with them. I want them to practice & enhance their reading skills by finding text evidence, practicing written comprehension & discussing the authors message. If that happened, I would be so happy!!!
