You have 10 days people to grab this fabulous pack!!! I am this weekend!!!
My Countdown:
We have 2 more weeks of school, 10 days left with the students. The students last day is Friday, June 13th!!! We have 4 days of post-planning following from Monday, June 16th – Thursday, June 19th.
But, I will be working the RTA (Read to Achieve) Summer Camp for 10 days with our 3rd Grade students from Wednesday, June 18th – Wednesday, July 2nd. Yes, you read that correctly. We have to start camp during post-planning. Based on our schedule, being year around, the bus schedule being summer break & a bunch of other little things, we have to do 10 days of Summer Camp. We did 7 during Spring Intersession & will do another 7 during Fall Intersession to make a total of 24 Summer Camp days. We have to break it up being year around. It’s a little crazy you could say. But it’s from 8-12, so no big deal for me.
So my personal countdown of days with kids & working is: 22!
I CAN DO IT!
We return for pre-planning Tuesday, July 15th. Kids start school on Monday, July 21st!
But I LOVE year around school. I can’t wait for our 3 week Fall Intersession to do some traveling!
Turtles Everywhere:
For some odd reason the past 2 weeks my staff has been in contact with numerous turtles. One of our 1st Grade teachers, stopped in the middle of the road to rescue a turtle. Our Instructional Coach rescued a turtle on her afternoon walk the other day. Kids have been spotting them during recess & dismissal daily. It’s crazy! Well this little guy was all the way up my portable ramp by my door yesterday when I was walking in. So I called that same 1st Grade teacher out of a Strategic Planning meeting to come rescue the turtle! Ha ha! Animals first on our campus!
Daddy Baby Shower:
We had a baby shower at work this week, but this one was extra special. It was for our male K teacher! Yup, we have a Kindergarten Cop! We just LOVE him to pieces! I just have a special place in my heart for the girls throwing their male team-mate a baby shower. It was a special afternoon! I really LOVE the staff I work with:-)
2nd Grade End of the Year Performance:
It doesn’t matter if it’s my child or the kids I teach I get a little choked up & start to cry… I just LOVE my 2nd Graders this year, but I love when all children do a performances. It’s just the sweetest thing to me!

I would so LOVE to try year around school. I think I would like it too. Our district was going to try it in a couple of school here in Wichita but decided against it. Very Sad!! I love that your school threw a baby shower for him. That is fantastic. I love it when the staff all gets along so well. I enjoyed reading your post.
